The External Relations division is the link between campus and community, and between SAIT and government. We work to build bridges between SAIT, the community and the government entities with which we interact each day by providing ideas, information, and strategic counsel. In the process, we seek to strengthen support for SAIT and the programs that are offered. External Relations works to build, maintain and strengthen our working relationships with key stakeholders whose decisions impact SAIT’s future.

SAIT is located on the traditional territories of the Niitsitapi (Blackfoot) and the people of Treaty 7 which includes the Siksika, the Piikani, the Kainai, the Tsuut’ina and the Îyârhe Nakoda of Bearspaw, Chiniki and Goodstoney.
We are situated in an area the Blackfoot tribes traditionally called Moh’kinsstis, where the Bow River meets the Elbow River. We now call it the city of Calgary, which is also home to the Métis Nation of Alberta, Region 3.
