Associate Vice President, International Centre

The Opportunity

Reporting to the Vice President Corporate Development, Applied Research and International (CDARI), the Associate Vice-President (AVP), International Centre plays a pivotal role in spearheading, shaping and overseeing SAIT’s global strategy. 

The incumbent’s influence and responsibilities are broad and comprehensive, including, but not limited to, providing results-oriented, effective institutional leadership and management. In collaboration with academic and other administrative departments, the AVP, International Centre will oversee the designing, development, planning, implementation, and periodic assessment of campus-wide, comprehensive internationalization. This includes international recruitment, international partnerships, global education and partnerships, immigration and settlement supports, cultural, social, and outreach programs, and services for all international students at SAIT as well as providing critical insight into newcomer students at SAIT or prospective students looking to study at SAIT. As a senior leader, the AVP, International Centre will ensure the achievement of international goals by developing key relationships both within the institution and in key geographic regions in Canada and around the world. 

The AVP, International Centre produces SAIT wide strategies to attract and retain international students, developing international partnerships, developing scalable frameworks to grow initiatives, requiring a high degree of self-direction, collaboration with others, and has the ability to set priorities and to be responsive to the demands of a broad range of stakeholders in an applied education setting.
